Download Chrome Web Browser

First thing to do is you download Chrome Web Browser if you don’t have it already.

Download Here

Open A Text Editor like Text Edit or Visual Studio Code

In this example I am using Visual studio Code because by default it adds no rich text formatting.

Be sure to create a new document by

Pressing command + N on the Mac

I believe it is Control + N on windows

Save the document and name it what ever you want.

Copy and paste the code below into your text editor.

Hit Enter or return 3 times and paste the code into your text editor.

Command + C to copy and Command + V to paste on Mac

Replace “Command Key” with “Control Key” on Windows.

Your screen should look like this now:

Open Chrome Browser and go the site where Wistia Video is at.

Right Click on the wistia video in the Chrome browser and select “copy link and thumbnail.”

Switch back to your text editor and paste in the code.

The result should look similar to this:

now find the sequence of characters like

“wvideo=20nl1b5mm3” in my case.

The code after the equals sign is the video link code.

After the “=“ your code will be different

Select, copy, and paste the code

After []

It should look like this

Now select and copy full link you just created above.

Open a new tab in the chrome browser and paste the link into the search bar

You should now see the the video.

Next we are have to view the source of this page…

We do this by going to the top menu in Chrome and selecting

View -> Developer-> View Source

Find and Search for the first occurrence of the word “bin”

Chrome will open a new tab that displays the underlying code for the video page.

Find and search for the first occurrence of the word “bin”

Go to top menu and select

Edit ->Find->Find…

It should look similar to this.

The first occurrence should be highlighted orange.

Select the link .

The link you are selecting should look similar to

[] except the code will be different at the end.

Right click the highlighted link and select “Go To []..

A new tab will open with just the video.

Right click on the video and select “Save Video As”

Name the video what ever you want but be sure to replace the “.bin” extension with “.mp4” as the extension.

Hit the save button.

Now you are done.
